The word 'Heart' is thrown around a lot in wrestling, but its the only word that accurately describes Talan.

Talan worked his tail off to get down to 75lbs for NYWAY States.

There were 5 ranked kids in his bracket, including 2 wrestlers tied for #1 and the #5, #6, #7 ranked kids in the State (Talan was ranked #9 in the State going into States).

Talan won his first match and then lost to the #5 ranked kid. He would have to win his next 2 matches to place, both matches were against kids he lost to last year at States. Talan won his first match 9-2 and then pinned the next kid.

The 5th/6th place match was a rematch of this years NYWAY Central Regional Finals, where Talan got pinned. Talan went out there determent to get revenge and he did, pinning the #7 ranked kid in the State!!

Talan got revenge on 3 kids that have beat him, on the big stage.

Like I said, HEART!!!
