Champion
Kellan did 2 age divisions this past weekend in Canastota. Kellan brought home the championship with ease in his age bracket, pinning every kid in less then 20 seconds.
Kellan found competition in the 8&U bracket where Kellan competed against kids older and up to 8lbs heavier. Kellan's first match was against a State Champion who finished out last year ranked #1 (he beat Kellan last year 7-4) but Kellan is a LOT better then he was last year.
Kellan had revenge on his mind as he took the mat. Kellan controlled the match and went up 13-0 before getting the pin. Kellan then got his first loss of the year, to the #2 ranked kid at the 8&U 47lbs weight class (a great kid on and off the mat that Kellan looks up to). Kellan's next match was against a kid way bigger then Kellan, Kellan dug himself a hole as the match started out 0-4 with Kellan giving up 2 takedowns. Kellan then turned it on getting the reversal and 2 sets of NF points to win the match 7-4. Kellan then pinned the next 2 kids in less than 30 seconds.
Kellan continues to be a force on the youth circuit with a 32-1 record on the year and a #1 ranking in the 6&U 41lbs division.
